Body of Crochet Octopus:

  • R1: Using the blue yarn, start with 8 sc in the magic ring. 1 ss, 1 ch. [8]
  • R2: Work (2 sc in next stitch)*8 times. 1 ss, 1 ch. [16]
  • R3: Work (1 sc, 2 sc in next stitch)*8 times. 1 ss, 1 ch. [24]
  • R4: Work (1 sc, 2 sc in next stitch, 1 sc)*8 times. 1 ss, 1 ch. [32]
  • R5-R8: Work 32 sc stitches in each round. 1 ss, 1 ch. [32 stitches in each row]
  • R9: Work (1 sc, sc2tog, 1 sc)*8 times. 1 ss, 1 ch. [24]
  • R10: Work 24 sc stitches in the round. 1 ss. [24]
  • R11: Work (5 dc in one st, skip 1 stitch, 1 ss)*8 times. Cut and leave a tail. [40]
  • Change to pink yarn and repeat from R1 to R11 to create the other side of the pattern.

Assemble Crochet Octopus:
