Equipment

Instructions

Star Body (Make 2)

  • Using yellow, start with a magic ring
    R1: ch 1, 8 sc in the magic ring, close the opening, 1 ss
    R2: ch1, *2sc in next st* repeat** 7 times, ss
    R3: ch1, *sc, 2sc in next st* repeat** 7 times, ss
    R4: ch1, *sc2. 2sc in next st* repeat** 7 times, ss
    R5: ch1, *sc3, 2sc in next st* repeat** 7 times, ss, 1ch

Making Star Tips

  • R6: sc8, turn, ch 1
    R7: sc2tog, sc4, sc2tog, turn, ch 1
    R8: sc2tog, 2sc, sc2tog, turn, ch 1
    R9: *sc2tog* repeat ** 1 time, turn, ch 1
    R10: sc2tog
    R11: ch20 (This is the hanging rope)
    Repeat R6 – 10 steps starting at stitches 9, 17, 25, and 33 of R5 to form the rest of the star tips, to have a total of 5 tips.
    Note: Don't forget to make the other side but do not ch20 for the hanging rope. cut and leave a tail

Assembly

  • Step 1: Align the two sides and single crochet the two sides to join, do not cut yarn leaving a small opening
  • Step 2: Insert the polyfill filling up the tips evenly; then finish closing up the two sides.a weave in the end with a darning needle.
  • Step 3: Using a darning needle, thread the tail of the ch20 and join by stitching at the base of the chain to form a loop, cut, and weave in ends.

Star & Heart Bookmark Patterns

    Small Star

    • Using the dark pink yarn star with a magic ring
      R1: ch 3, 14 dc in the magic ring, 1 ss
      R2: ch6, in 3rd st from hook sc, hdc, dc, tr, ss in 3rd st of R1
      Repeat R2 until you have 5 tips, do not cut yarn
      make Ch 65 as the rope.

    Heart

    • Using the light pink color, start with a magic ring
      R1: 5dc, ch2, 5dc, cut and weave in ends

    Assembly

    • Using the tail from the star, thread the needle and stitch through the center of the heart, cut, and weave in the ends.
