Crochet Letter Q Pattern

Stitches and Abbreviations:

• ch: chain stitch
• sc: single crochet
• ss: slip stitch
• hdc: half double crochet
• sc2tog: combine 2 sc together into one

Step-by-Step Crochet Letter Q Pattern:

(Note: In all chain stitches, work behind the vertical bar.)

• R1: Start with 36 ch foundation chain, then connect end to end with 1 ss to form a ring. 1 ch, (2 sc in next st, 1 sc)*3 times, 3 sc, 2 sc in next st, 4 sc, 2 sc in next st, 2 sc, 2 sc in next st, 1 sc, (2 sc in next st, 2 sc)*3 times, 3 sc, 2 sc in next st, 2 sc, (2 sc in next st)*2 times.

• R2: 1 ss, 1 ch. 5 sc, 14 hdc, 10 sc, 14 hdc, 5 sc.

• R3: 1 ss, 1 ch. 5 sc, 4 hdc, (2 hdc in next st)*6 times, 4 hdc, 10 sc, 4 hdc, (2 hdc in next st)*6 times, 4 hdc, 5 sc.

• Use another yarn, in the hdc st of the R3: 1 ch, 3 sc, turn, 1 ch, sc2tog, 1 sc, turn, 1 ch, 2 sc, turn, 1 ch, sc2tog, turn, 1 ch, 1 sc.

• In the symmetrical position of the inner ring, 1 ch, 3 sc, turn, 1 ch, sc2tog, 1 sc, turn, 1 ch, sc2tog.
