Yarn suggestions

  1. Chunky/ Chenille yarn– Good for plushies if you want it beside your pillows.
  2. Lace size yarns– good for smaller version and perfect for keychains
  3. Glow in the dark yarn– glow in the dark yarns are new to crochet market and with it’s green color, you can also try to use it for more beautiful view even in night time.

  • Sc– Single Crochet
  • Dc – Double Crochet
  • Ch– chain
  • St– stitch
  • Ss– Slip Stitch
  • Sc2tog-slip stitch 2 together or DEC (decrease)
  • Inc– Increase (2 sc in each/next stitch)
  • FLO – Front Loop Only
  • BLO – Back Loop Only
  • [00] – total stitches after a round
  • R1, R2, R3… – Round 1, Round 2, Round 3…

Special Terms:

  • Sc2tog-slip stitch 2 together or popularly known as Dec or decrease: Yarn over and pull through. Repeat the process, Insert the hook in the next st, yarn over and pull through again.  There should be 3 loops on the hook now. Finally, yarn over and pull a loop through all 3 loops on the hook to finish the stitch.
  • 2sc in each stitch/ next stitch or popularly known as INC or Increase: When making an increase, you will just  make 2 sc in each or next stitch.

How to crochet a Flower pot for cactus

The two types share the same flower pot.

Flower core

  • Create a loop with white yarn, tie the knot three times around the loop, and sew in the middle of the flower

In order for you to assemble potted cactus A, you must have these parts:

  • Step 2: Flatten the big cactus and sew it in the soil surface. You’ll sew it across the left R5 to right R5

  • Step 3: Sew the middle cactus to bigger one. It’s up to you whether you will put it on the left or right side of the big cactus.

Cactus B ( ball cactus )

Main part

  • R1: 16 ch, from 2nd st of hook, 15 sc [15]
  • R2-35: turn your work, 1 ch, 15 sc [15] Sew end to end, then sew a circle along the edge, and finally pull the loop tight.

Flower

  • Use a piece of yellow yarn to wind and cut to make a little fur ball.

  • Step 4: Using your hot melt adhesive, attach the yellow furry flower on the top of your cactus.
