Step-by-Step Patterns
Sunflower bookmark
Stamen (make 2):
- Step 1: Start with a magic ring.
- Step 2: Work 6 sc into the magic ring. 1 ss, 1 ch. Pull the ring tight.
- Step 3: (2 sc in same stitch) * 6 times. 1 ss, 1 ch
- Step 4: ( 1 sc, 2 sc in next st ) * 6 times, 1 ss, 1 ch
- Step 5: Fasten off and leave a long tail for assembly. continue to finish another flower stamen with green yarn.
Note: Attach the two stamens by stitching them together while working on the Sunflower petal.
Sunflower Petal (make 9):
- Step 1: use yellow yarn start with a slip knot.
- Step 2: In the same stitch, work (ch 1, hdc, dc, ch 2).
- Step 3: In the next stitch, work (dc, hdc, ch 1)
- Step 4: Slip stitch into the next stitch to complete a petal.
- Step 5: Repeat the above steps 8 times to create a total of 9 petals.
- Step 6: Fasten off and weave in the ends.
Note: Before you fasten off the flower, put enough fiberfill in the Sunflower to make it more realistic.
Leaf (make 2):
