- Yarn – yarn of 4 colors, purple, yellow, green, and light brown
- Hook-2.5mm
- Flower rod -16” long x 0.08”diameter (40cm x 2mm) *You can usebamboo skewers or balloon holder as an alternative materials
- Iron wire -0.02 inches diameter (0.4mm)
- Fiber fill/Stuffing-you can also use your scrap yarns or old clothes as a substitute
- Darning needle
- Scissors
- Stitch marker
- Hot melt adhesive

The gauge is not specified but can be open to interpretation or customization based on personal preference. - Sc– Single Crochet
- Hdc – Half Double Crochet
- Dc – Double Crochet

Special Stitches
Sc2tog-slip stitch 2 together or popularly known as Dec or decrease
- Yarn over and pull through. Repeat the process, Insert the hook in the next st, yarn over and pull through again. There should be 3 loops on the hook now. Finally, yarn over and pull a loop through all 3 loops on the hook to finish the stitch.
2sc in each stitch/ next stitch or popularly known as INC or Increase
- When making an increase, you will just make 2 sc in each or next stitch
Step-by-Step Patterns
Water Lily Big petals (make 8):
- R1: Start with the foundation chain: 21 ch
- R2: from the 2nd st of hook, 3 sc, 3 hdc, 8 dc, 3 hdc, 2 sc, 3 sc in same st, turn your work, 2 sc, 3 hdc, 8 dc, 3 hdc, 3 sc, 1 ss, 1 ch. [41]
- R3: add wire, 20 sc, in same st( 1 sc, 1 ch, 1 sc), turn your work, 20 sc. 1 ss, cut and leave a tail.[43]
Water Lily Middle petals(make 8):
- R1: Start with the foundation chain: 17 ch
- R2: from the 2nd st of hook, 3 sc, 3 hdc, 5 dc, 2 hdc, 2 sc, 3sc in same st, turn your work, 2 sc, 2 hdc, 5 dc, 3 hdc, 3 sc. 1 ss, 1 ch. [33]
- R3: add wire, 16 sc, in same st( 1 sc, 1 ch, 1 sc), 16 sc. 1 ss, cut and leave a tail. [35]
Water lily Short stamens(Yellow Yarn)
- R1: Start with 6 sc in the magic ring. 1 ss, 1 ch
- R2: ( 2 sc in each st ) * 6 times. 1 ss, 1 ch. [12]
- R3: ( 1 sc, 2 sc in next st ) * 6 times. 1 ss, 1 ch. [18]
- R4: work front loops only (FLO): ( in the same st, 1 sc, 9 ch ) * 18 times. 1 ss, 1 ch
- R5: work back loops only (BLO): 18 sc, 1 ss, 1 ch
- R6: ( 1 sc, sc2tog ) * 6 times. 1 ss, 1 ch [12]
- R7: ( 1 sc, sc2tog ) * 4 times, 1 ss, 1 ch. cut and leave a tail.[8]
Long stamens (make 9)
- Take a 20cm long, 0.5cm diameter iron wire, wrap it around with a yellow yarn and fold it in half.

Assemble
In order for you to assemble Water lily flower, you must have these parts and materials:
- 8 Big petals
- 8 Middle petals
- Yellow short stamen
- 9 Long stamen
- Flower rod
- Hot melt adhesive
- Fiber Fill/ Stuffing
How to assemble water lily flower
- Step 1: Get the flower rod and wrap it around with a green yarn for at least 3cm long.
- Step 2: Insert the short stamen in the stem and secure it with hot melt adhesive. Fill it with stuffing inside and wrap it around with the remaining yellow yarn of the short stamen and tie it after.
- Step 3: Using hot melt glue, paste the long stamen around the short stamen and make sure that the spaces between the long stamen are equal.
- Step 4: Wrap the area below the stamen with green yarn for at least 2 cm long.
Assemble petals
- Step 5: Attach the 8 middle petals around the stamen.
*There’s should be an overlap for the petals so it will fit the stamen.
*Just put a small amount of hot melt glue to the lower part of the petal so you can adjust or control the level of it’s bloom.
- Step 6: Wrap the bottom part of the petals using green yarn.
- Step 7: In between of the middle petals, put your big petals around it and secure it with hot melt glue so it will not fall.
- Step 8: Wrap the bottom part of the petals again with green yarn.
- Step 9: Cut the unnecessary yarns and lessen the amount of visible iron wires so you will achieve this shape.
- Step 10: When you achieve the desired length of the green yarn, you can now change the yarn into brown and wrap it around until you reached the end point and secure it with hot melt glue.
