    1. 4 stars
Part of the petals didn’t match up… maybe it’s just me, but I only got through the first 3 variations of petals before running out of chain, and didn’t get to use the last one.

      1. Actually, If you change the (1 ss, 3 ch, 1 tr, then 2 tr in each st, 1 tr, 1 ch, 1 rsc, 1 tr, then 2 tr in each st, in the same st: 1 tr, 3 ch, 1 ss) sequence to 2x instead of 4 times, there is enough to perfectly fit the other stitch: (1 ss, 3 ch, 1 tr, then 2 tr in each stitch, 1 tr, then 1 tr, 1 ch, 1 rsc, 1 tr, then 1 tr in the next stitch, 2 tr in each stitch, 1 tr, 3 ch, 1 ss) 2x as well.

        1. It’s because the pattern is very unclear about what is to be done in the same stitches, a lot of the areas where it seems like you’re working in different stitches because it doesn’t state “in the same stitch” but looking closely at the finished product i can tell it was done in the same stitch

    2. 3 stars
For the petals it wasn’t always very clear with stitches had to be made in the same stitch or in the next, with some trial and error I figured it out (after three tries). After I succeeded I had a beautiful rose

    3. Here’s my interpretation of the petals part!

      R1. chain 62
R2. start in the 4th stitch from the hook: (2dc in the next stitch, sk1) x 30, 2 dc in the last stitch (60)
      R3. turn, chain 3, (sk1, 2dc in the next stitch) x 30 (60)
      R4. turn, chain 3,
first petal takes 3 stitches (sum 3 st):
      1. 1tr
      2. 3tr
      3. 1tr, ch3, ss
the next four petals take 4 stitches each (sum 16 st):
      1. ss, ch3, 1tr
      2. 2tr, ch1, 1 rsc
      3. 1tr
      4. 1tr, ch3, ss
the next four petals take 5 stitches each (sum 20 st):
      1. ss, ch3, 1tr
      2. 2tr
      3. 1tr, ch1, 1 rsc
      4. 2 tr
      5. 1tr, ch3, ss
the next three petals take 7 stitches each (sum 21 st):
      1. ss, ch3, 1tr
      2. 2tr
      3. 1tr
      4. 1tr, ch1, 1rsc
      5. 1tr
      6. 2tr
      7. 1tr, ch3, ss
cut yarn and weave in the ends.

      1. Thank you so much for this. Works perfectly now – can’t tell you how many variations of the original instructions I tried to get the petals to fit.
